On 25th May 1996 Elf was put down :-(
He was generally very well behaved, and didn't seem to mind being left on his own in the house while we were both at work. Indeed one of the reasons I chose him was that he was lying in his pen at the kennels making the best of the situation, while some of the other dogs were barking furiously and attacking the bars. Searched the entire Internet and found none. Maybe it's Buy Research Papers Online,- It is very impo He used to like eating raw carrots, and would sometimes help himself to one from the vegetable rack when he thought no-one was looking! When we saw him with it he would look up at us with that innocent look of his, as in this photo.
We took him on holiday with us every year and, once he had settled in, he was quite happy to be left in the caravan on his own sometimes. When we took him to the beach he always tried to keep as far away from the water as possible.
Towards the end of 1995 he started to develop arthritis in his rear legs. Medication from the vet kept this under control for a while, but by May 1996 it became clear that this was causing him some distress. He was also beginning to lose his sight and hearing, so we decided it would be best for him to end his suffering. On 25th May 1996 he took his last trip to the vet.
We have planted a bush in the garden, in his memory, together with a
small plaque. We both loved him dearly, and still miss him. Elf,
we miss you and love you, wherever you are. |
